Our partner in outdoor rugs, Rozenkelim, focuses on the most sustainable materials, such as polypropylene and polyester. Our outdoor rugs are made from recycled PET bottles, aiming to reduce the use of single-use plastic. Rozenkelim gives antique and old rugs a second life. The rugs are often not popular in their country of origin, but the Western world can appreciate them. Even rugs that can no longer be saved are useful. For example, they are used to make patchwork for cushions or carpets. Rozenkelim has chosen to fold the rugs instead of rolling them because this way the products can be packed in one large shipment, reducing the need for frequent orders. The products are transported by truck, which is a better option than air transport. The outdoor rugs are environmentally friendly and made to last long due to the sustainable materials used. The packaging for the outdoor rugs is made from white, recycled plastic. At Pip Studio, we continuously work on improving our processes to optimise sustainability.
